Candy Chang and 安卓科学上外网 app are currently working on a book on their public installation Light the Barricades, which was on view in Los Angeles at the Annenberg Space for Photography in 2023. The series of interactive installations reimagines the wall as a site for contemplating our inner obstructions and is part of the exhibition WALLS: Defend, Divide, and the Divine.

Candy Chang’s latest participatory public installation A Monument for the Anxious and Hopeful collected over 55,000 anxieties and hopes from visitors at The Rubin Museum of Art in New York, NY throughout the course of 2018. Now, she and her collaborator James A. Reeves are working with psychologists, information designers, and researchers to examine the themes, what they say about us and our culture today, and strategies to weather the struggles of modern life.
